Keep Excelsior and Meticulous——The set-up work of the first wind turbine cage of Dashuikeng Wind Power Project successfully completed
V110-2MW wind turbine adopted by Dashuikeng wind power project is the first Vestas turbine that uses the anchor cage foundation in the China market. Compared with the traditional ring foundation, the anchor cage foundation adds two key processes of the anchor cage assembly and the secondary grouting. The anchor cage is assembled by connecting 4 anchor plates and 144 high strength bolts. And the flange level and connection gap have strict technical requirements, which demands a remarkable increase in the difficulty of the overall construction, thus putting forward higher requirements of the construction unit’s technical capabilities as well as the construction and supervision units’ managerial capabilities.
In order to fully grasp the construction technology and ensure the high success rate of the assembly of the anchor cage, the construction project department held a number of technical seminars before the assembly of the first wind turbine cage of Dashuikeng wind power project. Project managers, Vestas technicians, constructors and supervisors attended joint workshops, carefully studied the operation manuals, discussed the processes, procedures, analyzed and grasped the key points and difficulties, finalized the special schemes for construction and supervision, and prepared emergency measures.
In the specific construction phase, due to the pre-preparation and management in place, the construction unit quickly grasped the key points of the assembly of the anchor cage. The first anchor cage was successfully assembled on May 29, 2017 and passed the tripartite assessment of the project department, Vestas and supervision party. The key indicators, such as the flange level, were better than the manufacturers’ requirements, reflecting the quality of excellence of good work. (Writer: Engineering Department Chen Zhengyu)
